ABOUT

I'm M. C. Clay and I live in Alabama with my husband, Doug, our daughter, Kassie, as well as our five dogs. I was born and raised just outside of Tuscaloosa, where I attended The University of Alabama. There, I was awarded a BA in English Literature. Prior to following my passion of writing, I worked in the elementary education field, but am now a full-time author. I write across multiple genres including Romance, Young Adult, Fantasy, and thriller. 

I grew up with a love of reading. My mother encouraged reading more than anyone when I was young as she is an avid reader herself. If not for her, I don't know that my love of books would have been nurtured, and my creativity and desire to write my own stories might have never developed.
